Privacy
What we keep
- Account: your email, a hashed password, and when you confirmed you are 18+.
- Stories: the messages you send, plus the summary and facts we build from them. This is the memory feature.
- Usage and billing: time, size (tokens) and cost of each request, per key, and your credit history.
- Payments: amount, coin, status and the payment reference. We never see a wallet secret.
- Safety records: when a request is blocked, a short excerpt is kept for review.
Ad measurement
We advertise on Reddit and use Reddit's pixel and Conversions API to measure which ads work. When you arrive from a Reddit ad we keep Reddit's click id and the ad's campaign tags in a cookie for 30 days and store them with your account. When you sign up, top up, or make your first API request, we tell Reddit that it happened, with your email address and account id scrambled (one-way hashed), plus your IP address and browser type. We never send Reddit your stories, prompts or replies.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data, show ads on this site, or use your writing to advertise.
Deleting
Delete all story memory from your account page at any time. To delete your account, email support@smutwriter.com from the account's address.
We only email you about your account: confirming your address, password resets, top-up receipts, and a heads-up when your balance runs low.
